BUCKS IN A POST-CORONA VIRUS WORLD
Opening Remarks
Matthew Battle, Managing Director, UK Property Forums
Leader, Buckinghamshire County Council (Invited)
What does the creation of a single unitary authority for Bucks mean for the property sector?
Will the planning process change? What will the new structure look like and how will it make any difference for the property sector?
What does it really mean for Buckinghamshire? What is happening with the East-West Rail? What are the opportunities for the property sector?
Could the amalgamation of technology clusters into a ‘super cluster’ represent the future driver for the Oxford-Cambridge Arc (Growth Corridor) and the Buckinghamshire area? How are these companies creating tenant activity and investment opportunities?
A significant number of national infrastructure and digital schemes (including Heathrow Airport, Crossrail, HS2, Western Rail Link to Heathrow, The Oxford to Cambridge Expressway, East West Rail and Marlow – Maidenhead Twin Track etc) are forecast to impact Buckinghamshire. What does this mean for the property sector and could we be about to experience a rash of new development opportunities including improved digital connections?
