Meet 10.30am  (at the Front Entrance, Waterside Theatre, Aylesbury)

Our host will be Teresa Lane, Head of Commercial Property & Regeneration, AVDC

A unique opportunity to walk around Aylesbury town centre and experience the changing face of this town as new projects come on stream and regeneration projects come live. The walking tour will include the recently opened Exchange, funded by the AVDC development partner, Durkan, which was opened recently, and £3.3m of the Local Growth Fund.

The walk will include an overview of Market Square which has recently been awarded an £4.5m package of improvements. These projects will form part of a central plan to develop the town as new communities and settlements are built around the town. We shall also visit the David Bowie memorial to the singer David Bowie, who performed in the Friars Club in 1972.

BUCKS IN A POST-CORONA VIRUS WORLD

Opening Remarks
Matthew Battle, Managing Director, UK Property Forums
Leader, Buckinghamshire County Council (Invited)

Session 1 - POWER OF ONE

What does the creation of a single unitary authority for Bucks mean for the property sector?

Will the planning process change? What will the new structure look like and how will it make any difference for the property sector?

Session 2 - OXFORD-CAMBRIDGE ARC

What does it really mean for Buckinghamshire? What is happening with the East-West Rail? What are the opportunities for the property sector?

Afternoon Tea
Session 3 - CLUSTER OF CLUSTERS

Could the amalgamation of technology clusters into a ‘super cluster’ represent the future driver for the Oxford-Cambridge Arc (Growth Corridor) and the Buckinghamshire area? How are these companies creating tenant activity and investment opportunities?

Session 4 - INFRASTRUCTURE & DIGITAL SCHEMES

A significant number of national infrastructure and digital schemes (including Heathrow Airport, Crossrail, HS2, Western Rail Link to Heathrow, The Oxford to Cambridge Expressway, East West Rail and Marlow – Maidenhead Twin Track etc) are forecast to impact Buckinghamshire. What does this mean for the property sector and could we be about to experience a rash of new development opportunities including improved digital connections?
