Consent has been given for a food store at Cotefield Business Park, Bodicote in Oxfordshire.
Cotefield Holdings was granted outline consent for a 1,235 sq m shop with 90 parking spaces on land west of the park, which is in Oxford Road, at Cherwell District Council’s planning committee meeting on April 15.
Councillors voted in favour by 15-4, although there was debate at the meeting about the risk to a nearby Spar store.
The operator for the new shop has not been named, but it is a typical size for an Aldi or Lidl. The site is currently used as a temporary car park for a neighbouring construction site.
The team on the project included RPS as planners and Pegasus as consultant.
