Thames Tap partner Blandy & Blandy is one of four organisations which have pledged to support a project to light up Henley Bridge.
Make Henley Shine will use a discrete, low energy sustainable lighting system, made up of 460 LED light nodes that follow the line of each arch and balustrade of the Grade l-listed bridge.
Planning applications are due to be submitted in the Summer to both South Oxfordshire District and Wokingham Borough councils for the 10-year project.
If successful, headline sponsors, Leander Club, Phyllis Court Club, Henley Town Council and Blandys, which has offices in nearby Thameside, will have their names and logos on the plaques which will be installed on either side of the bridge.
Blandy & Blandy has offered legal services to set up the project as a charity as well as pledging a donation. The charity will be set up to work with a range of stakeholders, residents, schools, communities and special interest groups to develop a broad programme of public events and activities for people of all ages around the river.
