Jaynic has appointed Joe Clarke as senior commercial manager whose priority role initially will be overseeing the physical development of the Gateway 14 scheme at Stowmarket in Suffolk.
Mr Clarke previously worked for contractor Bowmer & Kirkland in Derby and has over 15 years of commercial management experience in many different sectors of the construction industry.
He has been involved with managing numerous design and build contracts from inception through to successful completion and handover to clients. He will take full commercial responsibility and manage risk and opportunities within the development team.
Mr Clarke said: “Having worked for a construction company where the role starts generally only when planning consent is obtained, with Jaynic I am really looking forward to being part of a team that takes something from nothing, going to planning, then building out and delivering to occupiers. From cradle to grave as it were.”
Construction director Jason Newman said: “We welcome Joe on board who’ll have a huge responsibility as the key member of the team delivering the 2.36m sq ft mixed-use Gateway 14 scheme at Stowmarket where Jaynic are development managers for Mid-Suffolk Council.
“Construction of the infrastructure is already well underway and discussions with potential occupiers are in hand.”
