Savills and Eddisons, on behalf of Urban&Civic, have sold a 12-acre site of development land at Alconbury Weald in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire to AM Fresh UK.
The specialist food firm is set to build a new 306,000 sq ft facility at the Urban&Civic-led Alconbury Weald development.
Construction of the new facility is currently underway and is due to reach practical completion in December 2022.
Alconbury Weald comprises 393 acres of employment space, 6,500 new homes, four schools and 608 acres of landscaping.
Other occupiers at Alconbury include MM Flowers (an AM Fresh sister company), IKO Solutions and toy retailer, John Adams.
The scheme is able to provide bespoke builds of up to 500,000 sq ft, which can either be pre-let or purchased on a freehold basis, with plots still available.
William Rose, director of business space at Savills Peterborough, said: “This purchase by AM Fresh further cements Alconbury Weald as a strategic commercial location and this latest success will undoubtedly attract further businesses to the local area.
“As available space with the required planning consents remain limited across the region, Alconbury’s enterprise zone status has been crucial to securing industrial and manufacturing occupiers.”
The plot was sold for an undisclosed sum.
