Mills & Reeve says its new Oxford office has gone down well with the region’s property community.
The national law firm, which opened its seventh office at the Jam Factory in Park End Street in April, has been a key ingredient in some of the major developments and transactions in the city in recent times.
The move was in response to growing demand for its offer in the Thames Valley and the Oxford – Cambridge Arc. Its services spread across all sectors but will initially focus on real estate, education, private wealth, life sciences and technology.
Mills & Reeve has advised on the Oxford North scheme and supported Kadans Science Partners’ recent acquisition of The Science Quadrant in Abingdon. Both projects were mentioned in its win in the OxPropFest Awards 2021 for Best Law Firm.
Peter McLintock, partner and head of Oxford office, said: “I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to meet so many people since we moved into the region. We are keen to continue growing Mills & Reeve’s presence here following the successful work we have advised on from the education, life sciences, real estate investment, private wealth and technology sectors based in Oxford, the wider Thames Valley region and across the Oxford-Cambridge Arc.
“The new venture will be led by a number of established Mills & Reeve partners and lawyers including real estate partner Amanda Tagg and education partner Sarah Seed, who have a particular focus on the real estate and education sectors, and Vincenzo Maggio who is our specialist real estate investment life sciences partner.”
“We look forward to seeing what more Mills & Reeve can bring to this region and the potential for long-lasting business relationships. With our newly refurbished office just a four-minute walk from Oxford train station, in the landmark Jam Factory building, it’s a great location to meet our growing Oxford team.”
