Former JLL director Jenny Gardner has been appointed development and construction director for ARC, Brookfield’s new brand for its science and technology parks.
Jenny, who led the life sciences team at JLL, was previously at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield in San Diego as a retail delivery director, overseeing improvement works at UTC, a 1.2 million sq ft flagship retail centre.
At ARC, she will be responsible for developments including those at Harwell where three million sq ft of new laboratories and R&D space is planned.
ARC chief executive Stuart Grant said: “I’m delighted that Jenny is joining the team at ARC. With a wealth of international experience and knowledge of the life sciences real estate sector, it will allow us to move at pace with our ambitious growth plans, creating the right environment and tailored space for organisations at the cutting edge of science to continue to thrive and grow.”
Jenny said: “I am excited to be joining the talented team at ARC where the company’s motives and goals around life science are strongly aligned with my own.
“With their existing development pipeline and aspirational growth plans, I have no doubt that ARC will continue to be a leader in the industry, creating fundamental growth and partnerships that are so critical for the advancement of science and I look forward to adding my own unbridled enthusiasm to the endeavour.”
