Wates Developments’ plans for up to 135 homes next to the A308 go before councillors on Wednesday (November 2) with a recommendation for approval.
The 5.4-hectare parcel of land is the northern section of an allocated site called AL21 which may eventually accommodate up to 455 properties.
Under the outline planning application for the northern site, 40 per cent of the homes will be affordable and five per cent of the market homes will be custom and self-build plots.
The Royal Borough’s Windsor & Ascot development management committee has been recommended to approve the plan, subject to conditions including developer contributions.
Wates is awaiting a decision on its plans for up to 320 homes and a special needs school on the southern section of the site.
The team on the project includes Boyer on planning, Omega Architects and i-Transport on transport planning.
