A one million sq ft logistics unit has been approved in Milton Keynes.
PLP has secured consent for the second phase of its PLP MK scheme on 44 acres of the site.
It will follow PLP’s Carbon Net Zero (CNZ) framework and adhere to the UK Green Building Council’s Net Zero Buildings Framework.
The site boasts convenient transport links, leisure facilities and wellbeing amenities, which, combined with the PLP CNZ framework, PLP says, will assist modern businesses in achieving their ESG targets. PLP says the scheme could be pre-let or will be built speculatively.
Development director Edward Jackson said: “It is incredibly exciting to receive planning consent to deliver such a rare landmark facility.
“Not only is the scale unprecedented for the South East, but the specification is unmatched. Our CNZ framework will ensure we exceed expectations of modern logistics customers. When finished PLP MK will be a truly world class business park.”
The first phase of PLP MK, currently under construction, consists of 1.06 million sq ft across 10 speculative units, with the first already available now. Practical completion of the final unit is expected by January 2024.
