Detailed designs for YASA’s new UK headquarters at Bicester Motion have been approved by Cherwell District Council.
The Mercedes-Benz-owned electric car company has agreed a 15-year lease at its new home which will total 88,000 sq ft.
Construction is due to start on-site in July 2024 and practical completion is expected in Spring 2025. YASA will consolidate many of its 400 staff, based throughout Oxfordshire, to its new site in January 2026.
The new HQ will be the first phase of Bicester Motion’s £60 million Innovation Quarter. Its buildings will target BREEAM Excellent certification and EPC A rating. They will be prepared for solar solar panels and include dedicated ecology and biodiversity areas, green space amenities for staff health and wellbeing, and bicycle parking spaces.
