MyWorkSpot has signed a 10-year lease with Royal London Asset Management for almost 20,000 sq ft at Proxima building in Maidenhead.
It will be the co-working space operator’s third site in the town. Others at York House and Clyde House are more than 90 per cent full.
Proxima, which is close to the station, has recently been refurbished to BREEAM Very Good.
MyWorkSpot co-founder David Johnston said: “Adding a third site to our portfolio is symbolic of the demand we’re seeing here in Maidenhead.
“Proxima is the best located office in Maidenhead and the additional space will allow a much-needed boost of the four-12 person private office options in the town, as well as self-contained suites of 15-50 desks for those larger corporates who now want more flexible 12-24 month terms.
“We’re looking forward to launching Proxima, which has been thoughtfully refurbished by the team at Royal London.”
MyWorkSpot’s space is the full ground floor and part of the first and second. There will be more than 250 desks along with breakout spaces, boardrooms, booths, flexible desks and parking. The site will open later this Summer.
Prices will start at £350 per desk, per month.
Will Kinnear, founder of HEWN, which advised MyWorkSpot, said: “MyWorkSpot know their market here in Maidenhead, which is reflected in the deal structure and lease length at Proxima.
“It is no secret that the market has slowed down in the last 18 months, owing to economic and political uncertainty, but with the imminent General Election the winds have started to change – which only gives me more confidence for the team in building on their success at Proxima.”
Royal London Asset Management was represented by Jeremy Metcalfe from Hollis Hockley.
