Following an announcement last summer, founding directors Will Stanton and William Van Custsem took up their positions as joint chairmen of Pigeon Investment Management at the start of 2026.

James Buxton stepped down from his role as chairman. He will continue as a director at both Pigeon Investment Management and Cambridge Power, as well as executive chairman of Pigeon Land.

Will Stanton, joint chairman, said: “It is an exciting time to be a part of the Pigeon business for our team, shareholders and investors. Each day brings a new opportunity for the business to grow our portfolio of land, now in excess of 22,000 homes.

“Our combined experience and track record continues to make us the partner of choice for many landowners, agents, and stakeholders across the East of England.”

William Van Cutsem, join chairman, said: “Along with our leading strategic land portfolio, we have commercial development and investment teams more active in the market than ever and we are constantly looking to increase the pipeline of opportunities.”

The two new chairmen had experience in real estate prior to founding Pigeon. Will Stanton is a former Savills (L&P) Plc board member. William Van Cutsem previously worked in the Savills investment team.

James Buxton said: “Pigeon has gone from strength to strength since its inception, making use of the trusted relationship and expertise of its Founding Directors and underpinned by talented in-house support. I look forward to working with our incoming Joint Chairmen, the other directors, and wider Pigeon team to take the business onto the next stage in its development.”
