The approved scheme for Cobham Football Club delivers a new detached two-storey clubhouse of 611 sqm, together with a package of supporting works to modernise the site and improve its operations.

The main building will replace the existing clubhouse and provide improved facilities for players, officials, supporters and community use. It is intended to serve as a more functional and resilient hub for the club, with the existing building, ancillary structures and storage containers removed within one year of the works starting.

Alongside the new clubhouse, the development includes extensions to the existing spectator stands to improve viewing and capacity. A new cycle store will be provided to support more sustainable travel to the ground, and a new sliding gate and fencing will help manage access and security. The scheme also relocates the existing toilet block, allowing the site layout to be reorganised more efficiently around the new building and spectator areas.

The council notes that the facilities respond to identified strategic needs within the borough and wider health and sport plans, including football infrastructure priorities. The proposal is described as supporting increased sports participation, community benefit and improved health and wellbeing. The clubhouse redevelopment is also presented as necessary because the current facilities are in poor condition.

Overall, the new club facilities aim to provide a better-quality clubhouse, upgraded spectator accommodation, improved site management and a more modern football venue for Cobham.
