On Friday 27th March, Metropolitan Thames Valley (MTVH) officially launched 134 new Rent to Buy homes under its SO Flexi brand, delivered in partnership with Huntingdonshire District Council.
MTVH hosted local councillors, representatives from Homes England and Vistry to the official launch. The event introduced the development to key local stakeholders and facilitated discussion on the future of housing delivery in Huntingdon. Visitors were able to view the new homes on a guided tour.
Sarah Ellis, director of SO Flexi by Metropolitan Thames Valley, said: “We are proud to officially launch SO Flexi Huntingdon in partnership with Huntingdonshire District Council. Our ongoing partnership has facilitated the delivery of much needed accessible homes in Huntingdon, helping to create high quality homes for local families, first-time buyers and key workers.”
The homes range in size between two and four bedrooms.
Mike Gildersleeves, deputy chief executive and corporate director for Place for Huntingdonshire District Council, said: “SO Flexi Huntingdon has been a hugely significant development for us. We are delighted to have worked closely with MTVH to deliver much-needed affordable homes for our local community. The event was a great success.”
The homes at SO Flexi Huntingdon will be available to rent at a reduced market rate to enable residents to save for a deposit and buy the property through Shared Ownership. Prices start from £840 per month for a 2-bedroom terraced house.
