Vail Williams has helped Golden Acre Foods secure new headquarters in Surrey, relocating the UK’s leading supplier of world foods from Chertsey to Waterfront at Waterman’s Business Park in Staines-upon-Thames.
The company has taken 5,260 sq ft of fully refurbished Grade A space on a 15-year lease to support its expansion.
Vail Williams partners Maria Hoadley and Natalie Furtado led the search, drawing on local knowledge and contacts to identify and secure the property off-market in a competitive area. Golden Acre’s requirements included strong transport links, staff convenience, ground-floor accommodation for operational needs, ample parking and strong green credentials. Staines was chosen for its suitability for staff retention, accessibility and local amenities.
The deal also involved Vail Williams associate Chris Bailey on pre-acquisition work and business rates advice, while associate Nicki Rought managed dilapidations at the company’s former Chertsey premises. The fit-out was completed by 3-Space. Waterfront’s landlord, London And Marlborough Group, was represented by director Paul Sexton.
Golden Acre Foods supplies major multiples, wholesalers and foodservice customers across the UK and Ireland, and has grown from its original Golden Acre yogurt brand into a broader portfolio including Najma, Elsinore, Hungry Boar, Jaldee Eats and Acti-Shake. It also sources products from Poland, Romania and South Asia, as well as private label ranges. The company is B Corp™ Certified, reflecting its commitment to high standards of environmental and social performance, transparency and accountability.
