A 600-home proposal is being brought forward by Hatch Farms, with plans for a 69-acre site to the south-west of Sindlesham, which will eventually sit within a wider allocation of approximately 3,930 homes.
The Hatch farm proposal is expected to be the first part of the Loddon Valley Garden Village, which was approved in September 2024.
Proposal details
The 600 homes will be net-zero, aiming to achieve sustainability alongside surrounding green space and habitat creation.
To ensure sustainability the site will have a stewardship plan, with responsibility for a 20 per cent net gain in biodiversity, and maintenance of blue infrastructure.
The proposal will also have a local centre and mobility hub to provide travel, as well as walking and cycling routes for connectivity.
The local centre aims to include a shop, café, working space, and small business units.
Proposal timeline
Planning submission will take place next month, with a decision expected in December, pending approval construction is expected to start in 2027-2028, with aims for completion in 2034.
