Northolt Grange is now complete, with its first residents beginning to move into 92 new council homes in Northolt.

Built on the former Northolt Grange Community Centre site in Rushdene Crescent, the development includes 84 homes for rent at London Affordable Rent and 8 shared ownership homes to help local people get onto the property ladder.

The new homes include a mix of one-bedroom flats and larger family houses, designed to meet the needs of local families. The scheme also provides landscaped outdoor spaces, a children’s play area, and parking for cars and bikes. The project forms part of Ealing Council’s wider effort to increase the supply of genuinely affordable housing, at a time when around 6,000 families are on the waiting list for a council home.

Councillor Louise Brett said the development shows how affordable housing can improve lives and communities. She said: “Building more affordable homes makes a real difference to people’s lives and strengthens our communities.”

One incoming resident, Evelyn, said she was delighted to be moving into a new one-bedroom flat this summer. She praised the quality of the building and said the fresh, modern home would be a major improvement after living in properties affected by mould. “I can’t wait to move in,” she said.

Beyond housing, the scheme has delivered wider community benefits. More than £540,000 in Section 106 contributions will support local infrastructure and services, including healthcare, highways, sustainable transport, a new playground, a multi-use games area, and 26 new trees. The project also exceeded its social value targets, creating 24 jobs and 8 apprenticeships, while supporting volunteering, work experience, and local charities.

Overall, nearly £27 million in S106 funding was invested across the borough during the 2022–2026 council term.
