A recently submitted outline planning application for the development of 40 dwellings at land near Farnham Common, has received requests to be heard at Buckinghamshire Councils planning committee.
Cllr David Moore – who represents the ward of Farnhams & Stoke Pooges – made a neutral request on the grounds of substantial public interest, the site being upon undeveloped land, BNG considerations, the scale of the development, and infrastructure implications, amongst other reasons.
Cllr Dev Dhillon – also representing Farnhams & Stoke Pooges – made a request in objection, mentioning that the proposal was made for Green Belt land and criticising the infrastructure outside the developments, which he said would lead to non-compliance with highway safety policy.
Cllr Dhillon also mentioned his concern with Thames Water capacity, and the potential for flooding issues.
Application details
The application was brought forward by Shanly Homes, and seeks approval for the access, layout and scale of the development.
The 40 residential dwellings will be based upon a 2.46-hectare site, alongside 91 new car spaces, and new access.
The housing mix will be composed of 17 three-bedroom dwellings and three four-bedroom dwellings for market housing.
There will also be five one-bedroom dwellings, four two-bedroom dwellings and 11 three-bedroom dwellings for affordable housing.
