T A Fisher has recently acquired a five-acre site at Burghfield Common, for the purpose of constructing a 32-home development they saw approved on appeal in 2024.

The proposal – which is accessed via Regis Manor Road – was initially submitted and refused in 2022; however this decision was later overturned.

On balance, the negative impacts of the development – which included a loss of protected trees and risk to the operational capacity of the nearby AWE Burghfield site – were considered to have minimal impact and risk, and were outweighed by the addition of 19 open market dwellings to the community, and the 40 per cent affordable housing provision.

Construction is expected to commence in Autumn 2026, and the first homes are expected to be ready in early 2028.
