Barratt London has teamed up with Harrow Council to launch Discount Market Sale homes at Florence Apartments in Eastman Village, aiming to help local buyers who are struggling to afford market-rate homes.
New research cited in the announcement found that only about 12.5 per cent of first-time buyers can afford an average starter home in their local area using their own income. Under the scheme, eligible buyers can purchase a new home at least 20per cent below open market value, making full ownership more accessible.
The development will offer 60 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments within a growing neighbourhood set to deliver more than 2,000 homes overall. Residents will benefit from amenities including a concierge, gym, community spaces, Green Link park, and nearby shops such as Asda and Sainsbury’s. The scheme also features over six acres of open space, landscaped gardens, more than 900 newly planted trees, cycle storage, and pedestrian-friendly streets.
Connectivity is another major draw, with Harrow & Wealdstone station offering fast services to central London, including Euston in around 10 minutes. The area also appeals to families, with a planned on-site primary school and access to well-regarded local schools. Barratt London says the mix of affordability, design, green space and community makes Eastman Village an attractive option for first-time buyers, young professionals and families. Homes are now available from £271,000 for a one-bedroom property.
