Law firm and UKPF partner Blandy & Blandy has agreed to acquire the business of Thompson Leatherdale, a Reading-based firm established in 1973.
Nigel Hunt, who joined Thompson Leatherdale in 1979, will become a consultant in Blandy & Blandy’s residential property team and, along with a number of colleagues, relocate to the firm’s office at One Friar Street in Reading on September 25.
Claire Dyer, chair and partner at Blandy & Blandy, said: “Thompson Leatherdale has enjoyed a strong reputation in the wider Reading area, developed over many years, advising primarily on residential property and private client matters.
“We very much look forward to working with Nigel and our new colleagues to build on that success, following what has been a record year for Blandy & Blandy, supported by five new partners, us welcoming fantastic new colleagues in every department and the opening of our busy office in Wokingham.”
Nigel Hunt said: “Blandy & Blandy is a very well-established firm with a longstanding reputation for excellence. As such, I am confident that clients will continue to benefit from first rate legal advice and client care, in addition to the broader range of legal services for individuals and organisations that Blandy & Blandy offers.
“As a team, we look forward to working alongside our new colleagues, who have been extremely helpful and very welcoming.”
