Councillors have approved plans for up to 59 homes at Wantage.
Vale of White Horse District Council’s planning committee unanimously voted through the outline plans, put forward by executors of the Stanley Thomas Pinnel Estate at its August 20 meeting.
The scheme involves development of 2.65-hectare Fullers Field, west of Primrose Lane, part of the wider 1,534-home Crab Hill.
Councillors discussed potential flooding risk but were satisfied an officers’ report had fully explored the issue.
The outline plans include a range of units from one to four-bedroom properties. The affordable proportion is 35 per cent.
The team on the project includes Carter Jonas on planning, SLR on architecture and Glanville on transport planning.
