Recently acquired by Broadway Developments Yaxley Ltd, Savills jointly with Barker Storey Matthews has been retained to market units at the former mushroom farm on Broadway in Yaxley.
The site comprises 12.5 acres of land, which, subject to planning permission, will be developed into high quality industrial, trade counter and showroom units.
The scheme has the potential to provide up to 180,000 sq ft of employment space and could turn the currently derelict site into a thriving employment area.
The units, which will be available on both a freehold and leasehold basis, are set to be delivered in Q1/Q2 2021 subject to planning consent.
Edward Gee, associate director in the business space team at Savills Peterborough, said: “This was an excellent opportunity for the purchaser to acquire a sizeable plot of development land in a strong location.”
Mr Gee concluded: “There remains a shortage of industrial stock across the region making this is the ideal location for a potential new scheme, which is set to attract a variety of occupiers.”
Richard Jones, director of BSM, added: “We are excited to be involved in a new development which will offer quality industrial space when stock levels are at a record low level locally.”
