The next phase of the Acton Gardens masterplan has received unanimous approval from Ealing Council’s planning committee.

The proposal, considered at the May 19 meeting, proposed demolition of existing buildings and the creation of 185 homes, including 44 active living units for the over 55s. The development will be for 50 per cent affordable housing. The development includes new public realm and a 3,63 sq m energy centre.

Masterplan 7.2 was originally given hybrid planning permission in 2018 and formed part of an overall regeneration to deliver 3,463 homes, half of them affordable.

Countrywide and L&Q are developers of the plan and architect is Grid.

It was described as ‘good stuff’ by Cllr Anthony Woodward.
