Additional homes are planned at the Soane Point office building in Reading town centre.

Tene Living won Permitted Development approval to convert the Market Place building into 144 flats in May. The firm then won PD approval for an alternative scheme for 93 flats there in September.

Now the developer is seeking to add 32 flats at the roof level in an upwards extension of one to three floors and six more by conversion of some ground floor parking space. New amenity space will also be created.

Tene Living also plans to vastly improve the exterior appearance of the building.

The team on the project includes Savills on planning, tp bennet on architecture and tps on transport planning.
