Basingstoke agent, BDT, has been appointed to market 12,555 sq ft at Sovereign House at Basing View.

The five-storey, 59,460 sq ft office development, previously known as The Florence Building, was let to Sovereign Housing Association in December 2018.

Now the housing association is seeking a tenant for the fourth floor which will be offered with 39 parking spaces.

BDT will market the self-contained floor on new flexible sub-lease terms, with break clause options available.

Richard Thomas from BDT said: “This is now a unique opportunity – prime offices over a single floorplate in a sustainable location and offered on flexible lease terms.  Despite new challenges in the office market, we anticipate early interest and will be quoting a rent of £28 per sq ft.”

Sovereign will complete the fit-out of its own areas of the building this summer and will relocate its employees from existing offices in Basingstoke and Newbury when Government Covid-19 safety guidelines around office working allow.

David Stratton, head of workplace property programme at Sovereign, said: “This is a top quality building, selected on its merits and the floor is a top choice for any business wanting prime space close to the town’s central services and amenities.”
