Blandy & Blandy marked the firm’s 290th anniversary at its annual summer garden party in Reading on June 8.

The event welcomed members of the Thames Valley’s professional community, including accountants, bankers, financial advisers, property agents, planning consultants and surveyors, alongside selected clients.

It was held at the firm’s One Friar Street offices, home to the firm since 1798.

In his speech, chairman and partner Nick Burrows announced that the firm, which can trace its roots back to 1733, had delivered the strongest financial performance in its history.

He said: “Thank you to everyone who joined us at this year’s well-attended and enjoyable summer garden party to celebrate our 290th year.

“We are proud of our longstanding place in the region’s professional community. We look forward to working with our clients and contacts in the next year and thank them for supporting the continued growth and success of our firm.”
