Plans have been submitted for a 66-unit care home at Ruscombe near Twyford.

LTN Care Developments has applied to Wokingham Borough Council to develop the 0.85-hectare site of a former garden nursery, west of New Road, for the two-storey care home, which will have 25 parking spaces.

The units will have single-room accommodation, each with en-suite wet rooms. Amenities will include a shop and cinema.

The application’s planning statement, produced by the developer’s sister company LTN Construction, states: “The care homes built by the applicant are designed with resident’s comfort and well-being at the heart of the consideration, in order to provide excellent day-to-day amenities and facilities that reflect modern day domestic comforts.”
