Carter Jonas, acting on behalf of a landowner and Turnstone Estates, has sold land on the site of the former Ashdon Road Commercial Centre to the east of Saffron Walden.
Following a competitive tender process, Stonebond Properties was selected as the preferred bidder and will deliver an all-affordable project of 55 homes on the circa 10-acre site on behalf of Clarion Housing Group.
This scheme represents the final stages of a larger adjacent development of 160 homes. The acquisition and build-out will complete the beneficial re-use of this former commercial site for much-needed housing.
The first homes are due to be available from late 2023.
