Chase New Homes have completed the purchase of the 4.5-acre Canada Life Site, on High Street Potters Bar. Benefitting from a draft allocation for 265 dwellings, and an element of commercial space. The site was sold by Savills on instructions for Canada Life
Chase New Homes has worked collaboratively with the Hertsmere Planning Authority to deliver a design-led scheme, potentially with an enhanced density, and they are now preparing to submit a planning application in July.
The site has been purchased on an unconditional basis with an exchange of contracts in April 2025. Completion and vacant possession were deferred to 29th May 2026 to enable a smooth transition for Canada Life for their relocation to new offices on Clarendon Road in Watford.
The majority of the office space is now vacant, however there will be a number of tenants that will remain on site until at least December 2026.
