All Souls College in Oxford has submitted plans to refurbish a series of retail units in the High Street.
The college has applied for planning and listed building consent to invest in the retail units at 10-15 High Street and provide teaching and research accommodation for the college on the upper floors
Prof Sir John Vickers, warden of All Souls College, said: “We are delighted to submit a planning application for this important part of Oxford’s High Street.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to revitalise the properties at 10-15 High Street by blending tradition with innovation.
“By investing in well-designed teaching, research and retail spaces, we aim to advance our academic mission in a way that also enhances the charm of our historic city and its economic vibrancy.”
