Consultation has begun over Rushmoor Development Partnership’s (RDP) proposals for the Civic Quarter in Farnborough town centre.
Around 1,000 homes, a leisure and civic hub, a hotel and flexible commercial accommodation along with open space designed to create a new outdoor heart of the town are envisaged in the masterplan, which has been developed by LDA Design, Barton Willmore and Transport Planning Associates.
The scheme by RDP, a joint venture between Rushmoor Borough Council and Hill Investment Partnership, also includes two ‘mobility hubs’ to encourage sustainable transport.
The consultation, which runs until Sunday, September 26, involves two drop-in events at Rushmoor Borough Council’s offices in Farnborough Road. These are on Thursday, September 16 (5pm – 8pm) and Saturday, September 18 (12pm – 4pm).
A planning application is expected to be submitted during the Autumn.
