First apartments at Inland Homes’ Cheshunt Lakeside development in Hertfordshire will be available imminently.

Due to launch in the Summer, the one- and two-bedroom Elan Apartments will be the first available in the scheme, which when complete will consist of over 1,700 homes.

Vicki Noon, sales and marketing director at Inland Homes, said: “We are really excited to be bringing our first collection of private sale homes at Cheshunt Lakeside to the market this summer. This development is creating a hub of regeneration in Cheshunt, delivering a vast number of new homes for local house-hunters, along with many new community facilities including commercial space and a primary school. Purchasers interested in finding out more about the first apartments available should register their interest now.”

Inland Homes describe the development as follows:

Set in an area undergoing extensive regeneration, Cheshunt Lakeside will provide over 1,700 new homes for private sale, rent and affordable housing options.

The first to launch onto the private market, Elan Apartments will comprise 22 one- and two-bedroom apartments situated on Windmill Lane just a five-minute walk from Cheshunt railway station, with Help to Buy available on a selection of properties for first-time buyers.

The upcoming phase will also deliver 350 sq m of commercial space on the ground floor of the building, the first commercial offering at the site.

Alongside the 1,725 new homes, Cheshunt Lakeside will provide 19,000 sq m of commercial space, which could be used to accommodate numerous retail options such as independent and well-known shops and supermarket stores, restaurants and an on-site gym.

Families will also be catered for, with a new two form entry nursery and primary school due to be built on the site, as well as pocket parks, upgraded transport links and safe pedestrian and cycle routes.

Demonstrating the superior specification and attention to detail for which Inland Homes is renowned, the Elan Apartments will enjoy open-plan layouts to suit the modern homebuyer. Kitchens will come complete with a number of integrated appliances, whilst master bedrooms will have the added luxury of an en-suite bathroom.

Residents at Cheshunt Lakeside will have access to a plethora of leisure and retail facilities, all on their doorstep. Cheshunt High Street itself is home to two village shops, a Co-Op, post office, veterinary surgery and a selection of coffee shops.

A 10-minute drive down the road will take residents to Brookfield Shopping Centre, where they will find larger supermarkets and coffee shops, including Tesco Extra, Marks and Spencer and a Starbucks.

For a bit of retail therapy, Cheshunt Lakeside is also a 10-minute drive from the Pavilions Shopping Centre in Waltham Cross, which is home to a selection of high-street stores including Boots, Argos and WH Smith.

For buyers that enjoy getting out into nature, there is plenty of green and blue space surrounding Cheshunt Lakeside. On the doorstep is Lee Valley Regional Park which stretches for 1,000 acres, and offers plenty of cycle trails, walking routes, meadows, a mosaic of wetlands and a dragonfly sanctuary to explore.

If relaxing riverside walks are preferred, there are plenty of routes available just a 10-minute walk from home, with access to Friday Lake, Bowyer’s Water Nature Reserve and the River Lea canal path.

The regeneration of the Cheshunt Lakeside site will also provide £250,000 worth of improvements to Cheshunt railway station as well as a new bus route to and from the station, providing an ideal base for commuters.

The train line into Central London is quick and convenient, with direct services to London Liverpool Street in 24 minutes, from which four tube lines can be picked up for travel around the city. Cheshunt rail station will also be on the line for the proposed Crossrail 2 service, further improving inner-city connections.

By road, the nearby A10 connects residents to the M25 and wider motorway network, whilst international travel is made easy with Stansted Airport just over a 30-minute drive from Cheshunt.

Prices at Cheshunt Lakeside are to be confirmed. For further information on the properties and to register your interest, please visit www.inlandhomes.co.uk/developments/cheshunt-lakeside.
