A touch of London living has come to Newbury with the launch by Savills of Sterling Gardens.

The first phase of the development of 119 hi-specification new homes, close to both the town centre and the racecourse, has gone on the market.

The launch sees the unveiling of one, two and three bedroom homes within apartment buildings set around courtyard gardens. The homes offer secure parking and a concierge service, rare in new schemes so far from the capital.

They feature full-height windows, Amtico flooring, and individually-designed kitchens with stone worktops and Bosch appliances.

All apartments overlook the scheme’s centrepiece private gardens and have access to private terrace or balcony.

Alexa Peters, head of Savills residential development sales team in Reading, said: “Sterling Gardens is the most impressive new-build scheme to come to the market in Newbury and significantly enhances the choice on offer in the town.

“Practically, it is exceptionally located and its road and rail links will be an important part of its appeal. But it is the attention to detail in its lifestyle offer – exceptionally light and spacious living spaces, stunning rural views from private balconies and terraces and the centerpiece courtyard – that really elevates it above and beyond any other new homes scheme in the area.”

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.

Show homes are now available to view by appointment and early reservations are being taken.

Homes within phase one are for sale by Savills with guide prices starting at £234,000 for a one bedroom apartment. Help to Buy support is also available ahead of the deadline of October 31.
