Savills Guildford has made three appointments and two promotions in its development team.

James Dear has joined the busy division as an associate, specialising in the sale of development opportunities. He was previously with Strutt & Parker’s land management team.

The development team has also brought in graduates, James Bell and Chris Nutter.  Mr Bell has a degree in Geography from the University of Birmingham and a Masters in Real Estate from the University of Reading.  He has worked in the Savills East London residential development team.

Mr Nutter has a degree in Property and Valuation from RMIT University in Melbourne. He has worked in Savills Battersea office. During his time in Australia he played semi-professional cricket and became certified personal trainer.

Sean Thomas has been made a surveyor after qualifying as an RICS chartered surveyor, following two years of APC training.

And Charlotte Watts has qualified as an RICS registered valuer and has been promoted to senior surveyor.  She specialises in the valuation of residential properties and residential development sites.

Ian Fowler, head of Savills development services in the South East, said: “As our business continues to grow we are always keen to use the opportunity to bring in new talent through our award-winning graduate programme as well as through targeted recruitment.

“I am particularly pleased to welcome James Dear, Chris and James Bell, who have hit the ground running and are already proving great assets to our team. Furthermore, Sean’s recent qualification and Charlotte’s promotion serve to bolster the professional services offering we can provide.

“We are proud to be a market leader in Guildford, offering a comprehensive breadth of service and unrivalled sector knowledge across five service lines including planning, development, valuations, new homes and lettings.

“To maintain this, it is clearly important that we continue to recruit the best people in the business, and we expect to expand the office team further across the latter part of 2022 and into 2023.”
