Guildford and Waverley businesses are encouraged to join Meshwork, a free online sustainability learning network for built-environment professionals.
Backed by Guildford Borough Council and Waverley Borough Council, the offer gives local firms access to expert-led webinars, practical resources and a professional network focused on more sustainable building, retrofit and management practices.
Meshwork connects architects, consultants, installers, estate managers, developers and others working in construction, property and retrofit. Members can use live and on-demand learning content to build CPD, gain insight from industry experts and share knowledge with peers facing similar sustainability challenges.
Over the past two months, local businesses have already taken part in webinars covering topics such as designing for heat, retrofitting buildings and low-carbon small projects. Sessions have explored key issues including overheating, building performance, deep retrofit, adaptive re-use, low-carbon construction and heat pump technology.
Councillor Adam Duce said the partnership helps local businesses access high-quality expertise and confidence to support the move to a lower-carbon future. Councillor Liz Townsend BEM added that the scheme is a valuable way to connect professionals with the latest thinking, practical solutions and real-world experience, while also supporting innovation and local economic growth.
As a member, businesses can access webinars, a large resource library, practical project knowledge and a community of more than 3,800 professionals. Free registration is available for businesses and professionals based in Guildford and Waverley using the code WAVGUI via Meshwork’s community hub.
