The Hillingdon Council Planning Committee has approved a change of use from assisted living to age-restricted housing for 72 units in Hillingdon.

Change of use of site containing 72 assisted living units (Use Class C2) with ancillary communal facilities, parking, and landscaped areas to residential accommodation for primary occupiers over 55 (Use Class C3).

The building and development of the broader site have been completed under previous approvals, and no physical works are proposed to the site through this application, except for the provision of additional cycle parking to respond to the proposed C3 use.

The council’s housing team has reviewed the proposal and fully supports the change of use, stating it is ‘critical to meeting the borough’s housing needs.’ All the units will be for social rent at affordable rates.

The applicant is the Anchor Hanover Group.
