Helen Tilton has joined UK Property Forum member Cratus Communications.
Ms Tilton will run Cratus’s operations in the south west of England.
She started her career in local government in 2004 as a planner with Bristol City Council, before moving into private practice, delivering major projects and Environmental Impact Assessments for national and international planning and environmental consultancies.
She said: “No matter what sector of the property industry you work within, understanding the language and context of local government policy and decision-taking is key to reducing commercial risk and creating the developments that enable communities to thrive.
“Social cohesion is a cornerstone of Cratus’s activities, and I am very much looking forward to supporting existing and future clients in navigating the complexities of local partnerships and requirements.”
Nick Kilby, chief executive of Cratus Communications said: “We have been very careful in making this appointment, we knew we were looking for someone very special.
“Helen brings not just an outstanding track record to the role but she is genuinely passionate for the built environment and place making.”
