Hillingdon has approved 105 new homes on a vacant plot near West Drayton Elizabeth Line Station.

The land, which is hard standing, had previous approval for 104 homes which lapsed.

The application seeks planning consent for the erection of a building comprising 105 residential dwellings and a 99sq.m Community Hub, ranging from two to seven storeys with associated accesses, car parking, cycle parking and hard and soft landscaping.

The proposal by Bellway Homes received unanimous support from the councillors, and there were no objections.

The site has 23 per cent affordable housing included in the proposal.

The site in Tavistock Road, Yiewsley, is close to the Grand Union Canal and resides in a former industrial area.

The approval is part of a continued housing boom in West Drayton linked to the launch of the Elizabeth Line.
