Just two units remain at a new industrial scheme in Chertsey after a series of lettings by Vail Williams – achieving record rents for the area.
Six of the eight units at ARA Europe’s 18,976 sq ft Chertsey Industrial Park have now been taken. The scheme is part of Fordwater Trading Estate, two miles from junction 11 of the M25.
Natalie Cummins, Vail Williams surveyor based in Woking, said record rents for Chertsey have been achieved from the six lettings with a quoting rent of £19.50 per sq ft for the remainder.
She added: “We have had tremendous interest in the park as demand for quality units continues to outstrip supply across the region and on-spec builds are flourishing.
“These units have proved popular with both well-established and start-up businesses and there is a nice mix of occupiers.
“With a number of companies continuing to make strong inquiries, it is likely we will have a fully-occupied industrial centre by the end of the summer.”
Vail Williams successfully negotiated a deal for 3,681 sq ft Unit 5 for the London School of Diving, which relocated from Chiswick to be closer to motorway links.
The school has equipped the unit with a training pool (London’s only heated scuba facility), new kit areas and classrooms.
Other units are let to Flow Church, De Baere (wholesale bakery) and Skyline Outdoor while joint agent DTRE has let the other units to Christopher Wray’s Lighting Emporium and Surrey Motorcycles.
The two remaining units are 3,202 sq ft Unit 2 and 3,396 sq ft Unit 6.
