Outline plans have been submitted for a mixed-use housing scheme, including a 48-bed specialist care home, in Ascot.

Mountbatten Estates has applied to Bracknell Forest Council to develop a 10-acre site, west of Locks Ride in Winkfield Row, for the care home plus:

  • A 12-unit block of supported housing for young families
  • Another 12-unit block of supported housing for elderly people
  • A community centre and health centre
  • Four commercial units
  • 13 detached houses
  • 12 semi-detached houses
  • Nine self-build houses

The applicant highlights a forecasted rise in the numbers of elderly people needing support.

The team on the project includes Aqua Architects, TPX on planning and mode on transport planning.
