New plans have been submitted for homes in the Gomm Valley in High Wycombe.

Taylor Wimpey has submitted a hybrid application to Buckinghamshire Council to build up to 604 homes on the 65.45-hectare site on the eastern edge of the town.

The hybrid application seeks full consent for 110 homes and outline permission for five self-build homes and up to 489 further properties, a primary school and early years provision, up to 1.4 hectares of mixed employment land and 201 sq m of community space.

The homes will be a mix of one and two-bedroom flats and two, three, four and five-bedroom houses. Forty-eight per cent will be affordable.

It follows the withdrawal of a 2019 application by Aviva Life and Pensions and Human + Nature (Places) for up to 1,000 homes, plus primary school and pre-school/nursery and retail and employment space, which was fiercely opposed by locals.
