A revised planning application for a new village of up to 320 homes at the former Marsworth Airfield at Cheddington have been submitted to Buckinghamshire Council.

In addition to the homes, the plans by Ainscough Strategic Land propose a primary school, local centre with a community building, a transport mobility hub and a rural enterprise hub.

Plans for the new Upper Wellington village were initially submitted in July 2022 but that application was withdrawn following consultation. Now the application has been resubmitted with additional information.

A section of 2.61 hectares of the 13.72-hectare site lies within Hertfordshire’s Dacorum Borough and planning consultant Turley has requested that, under the Local Government Act 1972, the decision is made by Buckinghamshire Council.
