A second attempt has been made by Runnymede Borough Council to convert an office building in Maidenhead it owns into flats.
The Surrey authority applied in November to convert three-storey Scandinavia House in Norreys Drive, formerly occupied by Volvo, into 30 flats under Permitted Development Rights (PDR).
But the application was refused over lack of storage for residents and floor to ceiling heights of the proposed flats.
Now the council, through Montagu Evans, has submitted a further request to the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead for the PDR conversion, after addressing the concerns from RBWM officers.
The application proposes nine studio flats, 15 one-bedroom flats and six two-bedroom flats.
Architect for the scheme is HLM Architects. RGP is transport consultant.
