Councillors in Wokingham have been recommended to approve plans for 12 commercial units.
The borough council’s planning committee will discuss plans for the scheme, totalling 3,198 sq m, which cover use classes E (g) offices and B8 warehouses at its meeting on Wednesday, October 12.
The development, put forward by Q+A Planning on behalf of Nigra Centre Ltd, will replace Nigra House at Mulberry Business Park, a vacant two storey 3,585 sq m office building which already has Permitted Development (PD) approval for conversion to 43 flats and full planning permission to create a further 14 in a second-floor extension.
Work on the conversion had begun but was not completed.
The proposed scheme is in three blocks with new access and landscaping. A total of 53 parking spaces are proposed. The current Nigra House has 140.
Several of the other buildings on the park have either extant or expired PD rights for conversion to flats.
