Thames Tap partner Carter Jonas has been appointed by communications regulator Ofcom to deliver estate consultancy services across its UK portfolio for up to five years.
The contract has been awarded under the Crown Commercial Services framework agreement for Estate Management Services.
Ofcom has eight offices across the UK totalling 131,034 sq ft of space including its head offices at Riverside House on the South Bank in Southwark, London (pictured).
Following a tender process, Carter Jonas secured a three-year mandate with the regulator, with a potential extension of up to two 12-month periods. The team at Carter Jonas will offer core property management services, and landlord and tenant matters, including rent reviews and lease renewals, acquisitions, disposals, rating and building surveying advice.
Iain Mulvey, business development director for Carter Jonas, said: “As Ofcom’s remit evolves and expands, it is committed to further developing a property strategy that supports effective service delivery across every area of its business.
“Recognising these objectives, we look forward to working with the Ofcom team to provide an effective approach to the management of the portfolio that assists its professional functions and capabilities as it delivers against its responsibilities.”
