Mountley has applied to convert an office building in Reading into 78 flats under Permitted Development Rights (PDR).
The developer, which is also working on the redevelopment of Bristol & West Arcade, has applied to Reading Borough Council to convert Abbey Wharf at 57 – 75 King’s Road.
It plans to convert the ground floor and the four floors above to 27 studio flats, 43 with one bedroom and eight with two. Parking (45 spaces) will be on the basement level.
The building sits between Duncan Place and Abbey Gardens where McGraph Group is seeking to convert part of that building to 92 flats under PDR.
The team on the project includes Allen Planning and JDW Architects.
