Trebor Developments LLP has submitted a detailed planning application for a 126,689 sq ft of industrial and logistics unit at Lightning Park, Huntingdon.

Both units will be developed on a speculative basis and will be on-site in Summer 2022 targeting practical completion in Q2 2023, subject to planning; the site already has permission for a 32,200 sq ft unit.

Lightning Park comprises 10 acres of commercial development land that Trebor acquired from St John’s College in 2021.

William Rose, director of the business space team at Savills Peterborough, said: “The development will provide new units in an area in desperate need of new supply to meet occupier demand. The units will also be built to reflect businesses ongoing flight to quality and will include a BREEAM “Very Good“ rating and benefit from roof PV panels and EV charging points, all situated within a lakeside setting.“

Greg Dalton, development manager for Trebor, said: “We are delighted to have submitted planning for our next development in Cambridgeshire and this major new site will provide us with the opportunity to deliver modern, high specification industrial accommodation to serve Huntingdon and the surrounding areas.  It continues our strategy to bring forward new high-quality industrial units in this undersupplied region, all part of our A14 strategy.”

The scheme is being jointly marketed by Savills and Bidwells.
