Plans have been submitted for a development of 965 flats in the centre of Woking.

Goldsworth Road Developments, a subsidiary of EcoWorld London, has applied, via Carter Jonas, to build the homes on a site of just 1.15 hectares either side of Goldsworth Road.

The proposals, masterplanned by JTP, are for five blocks of between nine and 40 storeys of one, two and three bedroom flats and will mean demolition of six buildings on the site.

There will be 2,710 sq m of ground and mezzanine commercial units and new units for displaced Woking Railway Athletic Club and York Road Project, a charity for homeless people.

The scheme will have 263 car parking spaces for residents along with public realm amounting to 2,763 sq m.
